Connect CardChain AI to get real-time card data, pricing, grading analysis, and portfolio management directly in your conversations.

Setup

Connect to Claude

Open Claude Settings — Go to claude.ai (or open the Claude desktop app). Click on your profile icon (bottom-left) and select Settings.
Add the MCP Connector — In Settings, go to Integrations (or Connectors). Click "Add Integration" (or "Add more") and enter the connector URL:

Click Add / Connect.
Authenticate— Claude will prompt you to log in — click the authentication link. You'll be redirected to the CardChain AI login page. Sign in with your CardChain AI account (or create one). After login, you'll be redirected back to Claude — the connector is now active.

You'll see "CardChain AI" listed as a connected integration with a green status.

Tools

Once connected, just talk to Claude naturally. CardChain AI gives Claude access to real-time sports card data, pricing, grading analysis, and your portfolio. Many responses include interactive widgets rendered directly in the chat.

Population Data

Check PSA/BGS grading population at each grade level for any card.

Troubleshooting

"Integration not found"

Make sure you're entering the exact URL: https://api.cardchain.ai/mcp/claude. Check for trailing spaces or typos.

"Authentication failed"

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration in Settings → Integrations. Make sure you're signing in with the same CardChain AI account.

Widgets not showing

Interactive widgets work on all Claude plans. If they're not appearing, try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration in Settings → Integrations, then refresh the page.

Stale data

Card prices update continuously. If something looks off, try asking again — Claude fetches fresh data on every request.

Claude doesn't use the tools

Be specific with your prompt. "2023 Bowman Chrome Wembanyama PSA 10" works better than "Wembanyama card". You can also say "use CardChain" to nudge Claude.

Grade matters— You can specify grades like "Raw", "PSA 10", "BGS 9.5" in your search.
Multi-step flows — Grading analysis and add-to-portfolio are two-step: search first, then act. Claude handles this automatically.
Widgets are interactive — Click cards, scrub charts, expand details directly in the chat.
Dark mode — Widgets automatically match Claude's light/dark theme.
